Organizing oasis located in Westbury on Long Island in New York

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample for review purposes. The opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way.

An organizing oasis right on Long Island? Can it be? Yup it’s true. All organization freaks finally have a place of worship, and believe it or not, it’s in Westbury. Well, TECHNICALLY it’s in Garden City on Old Country Road. Why say it’s in Westbury? Well, because it’s located at The Gallery at Westbury Plaza.

Organizing oasis The Container Store

Organizing oasis also known as The Container Store

The kids and I toured the new The Container Store before it opened to the public. It’s a great, big bottle of awesome sauce. During our visit, a ton of orange colored items took up most of the shelves. My kids, being orange fanatics, loved it, and so did I.

Long Island needs another location in Suffolk County, to not only bring jobs to the area, but also to bring the organizational goodies closer to me.

How are the prices?

Worried about pricing? Don’t be. Pricing is completely in-line with similar retailers: Walmart, Target, and the like. Plus, the quality of their product lines: top notch! Some products “look” more expensive. However, once picked up, and further inspected, you come to realize the couple of extra bucks is worth every penny.

WHY spend the extra money? Honestly, you won’t come back in six months to buy the exact same thing, because the first one broke. The stuff is built to last.

Spending on quality, and saving time

As well all know, spending wisely is important to me. However, saving time is of EQUAL importance to me. The Container Store doesn’t only have unreal products helping people get our “sh*t together,” but also has a well-trained staff.

I know, amazing, right? A trained group of sales people, not working on commission? Almost unheard of. Shopping at this store is a dream. Just find a sales person, ask them for assistance, and magic happens.

Be sure to explain exactly what your issues are in your “mess of a house,” and they’re so prepared (we’re talking hundreds of hours of training), they’ll find exactly what you need.

Bonus: they have a gift registry. Not getting married? No problem. Registries don’t require an upcoming marriage for creation!

  • New high school grad? Register for some goodies for your new dorm life.
  • Just bought a house? Register for an upcoming house warming party.

Register your heart away. Totally easy, but prepare yourself to get lost in the world of organization. It’s akin to losing yourself on Pinterest for hours. The Rabbit Hole struggle is real, folks.

The Container Store makes my heart sing

The Container Store time:

  • the products within the store save you time once in you’re home being put to good use
  • the quality is completely worth every penny, and saves you repeat trips to replace crap products

PS-If you haven’t heard of elfa, I recommend asking about it for your home organization. Closets, garages, and offices all need elfa. TRUST ME on this one.

The highlights of our trip to the store (or should I say, my kids’ favorites from the store):

The Container Store is an organizer's dream come trueThe entire family can find things for EVERY room in your home:

  • for reasonable prices
  • that are high quality
  • easily found thanks to the knowledgable staff

Thank you so much for mentioning our organization, Women’s Fund of Long Island, in your blog! We very much appreciate it. A few fun facts: We set a The Container Store record for most pre-sales (that click and pick up was awesome)! The Long Island Grand Opening weekend was the third largest in The Container Store’s history! (behind NYC and Boston) The best news is that they are sending our organization a check for $25,000 based on Grand Opening weekend sales! That will go a long way in investing in the power of women and the dreams of girls. The partnership with The Container Store has been a truly wonderful experience.
